This course will increase your awareness, skill and confidence with proper deployment of the defensive shotgun.

Defensive Handgun 2
This course is a dynamic, reality based course that is designed to elevate your defensive handgun skills with realistic responses to violent, aggressive encounters.

An altercation involving firearms is dynamic and involves delivering accurate rounds downrange while moving, finding cover and, possibly multiple adversaries.   This course takes these factors into consideration and introduces the student to high speed point shooting, shooting on the move, multiple targets, one handed shooting, one handed weapon manipulations, close contact shooting for quick response to violent encounters, use of cover and altered shooting platforms.

Come out and see what all of this is about and discover your potential to deal with violent encounters in a safe, realistic environment that introduces high speed, quick response, dynamic reactions to these situations and gets you off the bench and away from the square range mentality.

Prior enrollment in Intermediate Defensive Handgun is required for participation in this course.

Advanced CCW (CCW-1)
Advanced CCW will take you beyond the square range practice and introduce you to the realm of dynamic, reality-based training practices that are required to better prepare you to defend yourself and your loved ones during a violent encounter.  This course series is designed to take the basic knowledge you have gained from your standard CCW course, basic firearms courses and understanding the volatile nature of today’s socio-economic climate, and will elevate your abilities to provide you the skills to survive a deadly encounter against a dedicated, violent attack.  This is a highly dynamic course that will challenge your abilities and push you out of your comfort zone.  This is a highly requested course and is limited to students who have shown exceptional firearms skill and dedication to their training.  The usual route for acceptance into this course is a 90% or better score on the Defensive Handgun Skills Test from the Intermediate Defensive Handgun Course or the Skill Builder course.
Vehicle Tactics
Picture
For many of us, we spend a great deal of time in and around a vehicle.  The chances of having a vehicle be part of an aggressive violent encounter are extremely high.  It is therefore, our belief that civilian vehicle defense tactics are of utmost importance.  In order to better prepare you to deal with a violent encounter in and around your vehicle, Defensive TRIAD offers this vehicle tactics course.  This is not a driving course. This is a shooting and tactics course that offers students instruction on how to survive an aggressing violent attack in and around a vehicle, how to equip your vehicle with the tools needed to survive an encounter and how to protect those in a vehicle with you.  This course is limited to students that have shown a thorough understanding and ability with firearm skills by passing the Defensive Handgun Skills Test.  Prior enrollment in the Defensive TRIAD self defense courses are also highly recommended prior to enrollment in this course.

One Hole Group - A Lesson in Pistol Accuracy

Picture
Are you tired of looking at your target and getting hand sized groups?  Does it feel like no matter what you do, you just can’t shoot that “one hole group” or “ragged hole group” that others talk about.  If that sounds like you, then you need this course.  One Hole Group is designed to take pistol shooters to the next level with accuracy and introduce the new rules of marksmanship that go beyond the fundamentals of marksmanship.  The new rules will introduce you to the mind body connection and introduce psychological aspects of marksmanship that will exponentially change your accuracy with a handgun.  You will be introduced to aspects of shooting that are taught at the upper echelon firearm schools and military branches in the nation and leave with practical lessons that will apply to other aspects of your life as well.

Low Light Fundamentals - Defensive Handgun

Statistically most violent encounters occur in low light conditions.  This course is designed to give the student an introduction to the use of a flashlight and weapon in a low light encounter.  Instruction will cover equipment selection, using a handheld flashlight in low light and no light encounters, threat identification and shooting drills. This is a defensive handgun course that combines components of our Defensive Handgun 2 course and Intermediate Defensive Handgun in a low light/no light setting.

Prior Enrollment in our Intermediate Defensive Handgun course is a pre-requisite to attending this course.

Fundamental Concealed Carry Combatives (FCCC):
Carrying a firearm for self defense gives us peace of mind.  However, the reality of most physical altercations is that the firearm you carry will not be the only tool needed to resolve the conflict.  The majority of personal protection encounters do not require deadly force and therefore the firearm you are carrying could become a liability.  During a physical confrontation, if not properly trained, the firearm you are carrying may be taken away from you and used against you or the ones you are trying to protect.  This class will give you the skills needed to maintain control of your firearm in a confrontation and introduce you to the other weapons in your arsenal.  This in-depth introduction to the ability to use your body to defend yourself will include weapon retention, control techniques, weapon takeaways, strikes, defenses, reflexive responses to injury, target identification, threat analysis and awareness and instruction on how to produce an injury to the body without the use of a firearm.

This course is safe for people of all ages and physical skill levels but does require some physical exertion.  You may be required to go from standing to ground positions repeatedly during portions of this course.  Attire should consist of comfortable clothing and your usual concealed carry method.

Prerequisites:  None

Equipment List:  Handgun (ideally the one that you carry concealed), Holster, Cover garment,

Round count: 0 - No live fire during this course

Two Man Team Tactics
This class is the Two Man Team Course and is split into 3 days.  This advanced level course is a dynamic, reality based course that is designed to elevate your defensive handgun skills working as a two person team.  The two person team is the smallest group that can effectively work together with use of covering tactics, movement, suppressing fire and communication to close with and neutralize aggressors.  The two person team is the most common group size in law enforcement and these tactics are easily transferred to civilians for a team of family members, co-workers or members of a church or other organization as well as any other individuals that you consider to be a part of your two man team.  These skills are easily taught from one team member to another to increase your effectiveness in a defensive situation.

This course has 3-4 hours classroom and dry training room time on the first day. 3-4 Hours of live range time on day 2 with movement in the open and room combat.  3-4 Hours of range time on day 3 with scenarios of room combat and vehicle engagements.

Pre-requisites: Completion of Defensive Handgun 2 or equivalent

Round Count:
DAY 1 - NO AMMUNITION
DAY 2 - 200 ROUNDS HANDGUN
DAY3 -  100 ROUNDS HANDGUN

Advanced Integrated Handgun
Picture
This is a combined course of our Advanced CCW concepts and our Self Defense concepts to achieve a fluid transition between empty hand defensive tactics and the use of firearms to defend against a violent attack.  This course is a culmination of all the skills taught at Defensive TRIAD and places students into high intensity situations requiring fast responses and simulates the violent nature of a dedicated violent aggressor in multiple different scenarios including home and social settings as well as vehicle engagements.  Student acceptance into this course requires passing the Defensive TRIAD handgun test as well as a thorough understanding of the self defense strategies taught at Defensive TRIAD from prior enrollment in these courses.

Defensive Carbine 1 and 2
Your handgun is a great option to use in order to fight your way to your rifle/carbine.  Your carbine (typically AR-15 or Mini-14 variants) is a valuable tool in your arsenal and one that you definitely need to understand for defending yourself, your home and your family.  In the past 20 years we have had more AR-15 sales than any other time in recent history...nearly 4 million between 2012 to 2014 alone.  Unfortunately, many of these AR owners are untrained with this fine weapon of choice for personal protection.  We urge our students to get training with their firearms, and the carbine is no different.

This course series will teach you the skills you need to be comfortable with your AR-15 platform and be able to effectively use it as a defensive tool. We will get you well beyond bench rest shooting and elevate your skills to the dynamic use of this valuable weapon.

A sling is required for this course.  Either a 1, 2 or 3 point sling can be utilized and we will instruct you on the proper use of your selection.

Defensive Carbine 2 requires prior enrollment in Defensive Handgun 2 as we will be utilizing transitions from long gun to sidearm.

Cars, Buildings and Concealed Carry

This is a tactics course designed for the CCW holder and/or home defense situation.  The course is prepared as a force on force introduction for students looking to add realism to their training with simulated engagements in a safe environment.

Don't let your first time at defending yourself in your vehicle or home/office setting be the REAL DEAL.  Sign up for this course to get the training you need to survive a life or death encounter.

The tactics performed in this course include vehicle tactics against armed aggressors, home invasion, office invasion, active shooter and weapons retention against aggressive attackers attempting to access your firearm.

Prior participation in Defensive Handgun I is required for this course.

Advanced Concealed Carry Combatives (ACCC):
This is the follow up course to the FCCC and IDH courses.  This class utilizes your knowledge of self defense skills, weapon retention, control techniques, injury production and firearm techniques combined to create realistic training strategies for personal protection encounters.  Statistics show that most violent encounters occur within close proximity with potentially limited access to your firearm. Course training includes edged weapons, improvised weapons, EDC assets, control techniques, strikes, kicks, ground fighting, throws, and in-depth instruction on creating an injury to the body.  Close proximity shooting and improvised positions will be utilized and an introduction to force on force training will occur.
This course is safe for people of all ages and physical skill levels but does require physical exertion.  You may be required to go from standing to ground positions repeatedly during portions of this course.  Attire should consist of comfortable clothing and your usual concealed carry method.  This course will include shooting from unconventional positions and requires the ability to get up and down from the ground.

Prerequisites:  Prior enrollment in FCCC and IDH or the equivalent from a reputable school.

Equipment List:  Handgun (ideally one that you carry concealed), Holster, 3 magazines or speed loaders, Cover garment,

Round count: 200
